All Game Categories

11 genres covering all 154 games on the site. Every category page ranks games within that genre, so a strong new strategy game competes with strategy games instead of losing to whatever the busiest title on the site happens to be.

Categories vs. tags — which one do you want?

A category is the game's home genre and every game sits in exactly one, which is why these 11 tiles account for the whole catalogue with nothing counted twice. A tag cuts the other way: it describes a quality a game has — two-player, .io, drifting, stickman — and a single game can carry several across different genres. Reach for a category when you know the kind of game you want. Reach for a tag when you know the feel you want and do not much care which genre it comes from.

How each category page is ordered

Genre pages lead with what is genuinely being played inside that genre, so the ranking reflects the shelf you are standing in front of rather than a site-wide popularity list sliced eleven ways. Newly added titles enter the mix immediately instead of waiting to accumulate enough plays to out-rank an evergreen — the whole point of a site built around what just dropped is that a good game released this week can be visible this week.

Where to start

If you already know the genre, pick a tile above. If you would rather see the freshest things regardless of genre, go to New Games for the latest arrivals or Trending for what is climbing fastest. The full alphabetical index lives at All Games A–Z, which is the one to use when you half-remember a name.
